Why Parents Need to Take Their Kids to Singapore at Least Once

Singapore

Boasting of the best airlines and best airport in the world for consecutive years, Singapore is a country you should not miss, especially if you are constantly travelling with kids.

If a spectacular light show in Singapore is not enough to entertain your kids, there’s also the Universal Studios, the S.E.A. Aquarium, the Adventure Cove Water Park in Sentosa Island, the Singapore Discovery Center, and the Kidzania Singapore.

As a country, Singapore is the most disciplined you’ll see. The people go about their business. There is no trash in the streets or in the bay. You will barely notice police cars because street and petty crimes happen rarely. It is incredibly efficient that trains, taxis, and buses arrive on time. The hotels are clean; even the ones that got a two-star rating. There are no drunk and rowdy people in the streets. Even tourists in Singapore behave because the government imposes hefty fines on violators.

Light Shows

There are three light shows in Singapore that your children will love. There’s the Spectra at Marina Bay Sands, the OCBC Garden Rhapsody, and the Crane Dance at Sentosa Resort. All of these are produced against the amazing backdrop of Singapore’s skyline. The multi-coloured lights dancing to the tune of popular songs or original compositions by local artists will make Singapore’s night sky “explode” in emotive fashion. The best thing about light shows is that they provide pure entertainment for everyone.

Universal Studios Singapore

The Universal Studios Singapore opened its doors in 2010 and since then, it has been a major destination for many families. There are seven themed sections of the park and they all feature child-friendly rides and attractions. In fact, 18 out of the 24 rides in Universal Studios are designed for families with kids. It’s a good idea to spend a day in the park as a few hours won’t allow you to explore all 20 hectares of this theme park.

Singapore Discovery Center

The Singapore Discovery Center is an interactive museum and gallery that’s a great place for kids to learn about the culture and history of Singapore. Since it tends to get too hot in Singapore at times, the centre can provide relief from the scorching heat of the sun. The indoor activities, art gallery, and science museum can entertain kids and adults.

Singapore Night Safari

At night, the Singapore Zoo transforms into an amazing wildlife attraction that features nocturnal animals in their “natural” habitats. The night safari is dedicated to the conservation, rescue, and research to help save the animals both in captivity and in the wild. You can take a walk through the trails or ride the tram that will take you to a nocturnal journey of the wildlife. Animals from Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas can be seen during the tour.

Seeing as Singapore is probably one of the safest cities in the world, it’s the perfect candidate for your next out-of-the-country trip. Your children will surely enjoy the sights the and family-friendly activities while you can marvel at the efficiency of the Singaporeans.
